Lupita Shahbazi is a self-taught Artist who was born in Mexico. Growing up in San Diego,California and Tijuana,Mexico has given her an understanding  of who she is and perceives life. Shahbazi noticed her talent when as a child, grew to love coloring and drawing her family members in humorous ways. Living in San Diego and away from her native country, made Shahbazi more eager and passionate to learn her latin traditions.

In the Year 2000, this Artist's work received recognition and praise that led to her work to be displayed  in many galleries nationwide and even in Mexico. Shabazi's strong influence has been from the famous french Artist, Marc Chagall. Some people have called Shahbazi the "Mexican Chagalla". Which is an honor. In her work, she expresses the cool colors of turquoise and blues that play in the background of her paintings. Also in her paintings, she frequently has images of flying angels, brides and animals in the sky. This artist's beliefs in spirituality and religious icons can be seen in all her work. She describes her work as surreal.

Now, Lupita Shahbazi is taking a new direction by experimenting on wood, paper and different tools to create new textures in all her beautiful artwork.
